If you know the service you need performed, you will ship the equipment to me and I will perform those services in a timely manner and return the camera to you via USPS. Average time is about 10 days. If you are unsure of the cameras equipment’s condition (outlined in below sections), you can ship it to me for a diagnosis. After diagnosis I will contact you with pricing and you can decide to go forward or not. If you are close by, an appointment can be arranged as well. Services do not include return shipping. Repairs are guaranteed for 6 months.
Hasselblad V Series Cameras (Non EL Only)
Basic Body Service $250.00
Body is disassembled, cleaned and reassembled to factory specs. Includes: Inspect/adjust: Body Focal length, screen height and flatness, mechanism plate, brake mechanism, auxiliary shutters, front gearing, lens key, and mirror angle.
Lubricate: Mechanism plate, front gearing, auxiliary shutter pivots, lens lock mechanism.
Replace as needed: mirror foam, brake rubber.
Special service can be requested for damaged cameras such as jammed and then forced, dropped and bent cameras, broken mirror, etc. Just email me the problem and we can arrange an inspection, which will cost $35.00 to determine problem/cost. If service is agreed to, the $35.00 fee is waived.
Basic back service. A12, 16, 24 etc. C12, 16, 24 etc. $125.00
Disassemble, clean, reassemble and lubricate to factory specs.
Replace light trap.
Basic lens service $250.00 (FLE lenses $300)
Clean lubricate and adjust shutter mechanism including escapement mechanism, self timer, aperture mechanism, and depth of field preview. Lenses are adjusted to ANSI speed tolerances. Weak springs in C lenses will occasionally provide slower top speeds. You can elect to have new spring installed for an extra $75.00. If I determine you have a weak spring I will let you know. Shutters with broken leaves or damage will need a diagnosis costing $35.00 in which I can determine the cost of repair and you can decide what you would like to do. If I go ahead with service the $35.00 fee is waived.
Focus Helicoid Service/Collimation $125
SWC Cameras $400 Shutter Overhaul, Focus mechanism clean and lubricate, Advance mechanism clean and lubricate, new light seals.
Rolleiflex TLR cameras
Shutter Overhaul service (includes self timer) $200.00
Full Service including shutter service, focus mechanism clean and lubricate ($100), advance mechanism clean and lubricate ($100), and general cleaning $400. Cameras with onboard meters are $500.
Cameras that are defective, damaged, or of unknown condition will be inspected at a cost of $35.00 to determine the problem/cost. If you decide to go ahead with service, the 25.00 fee will be waived.
