Duane Lewellen

Duane Lewellen has spent all of his adult life in the world of energy efficiency.  His interest was sparked by a class in Solar Energy and his first opportunity was at Snohomish County PUD as an energy auditor and he hasn’t looked back yet.  He holds an ATA in Energy Management from Edmonds Community College and a BS in Business from City University.  He has applied his knowledge at PUD, Rice Group, Inc., NEEC, BOC Certification as lead Instructor, Smart Buildings Center, Lewellen Associates, LLC, Seattle City Light, and the WSEC TAG. He has spread his technical knowledge by being a Washington State Energy Code trainer and technical adviser,  teaching Building Opertor Certification since 1995 and was adjunct faculty teaching Energy Management at Edmonds Community College on and off since 1990.  Duane is a CEM, LEED AP, Past President of the PNWC of AEE, a recipient of the AEE Energy Manager of the Year for 2013 and 2011  Distinguished Alumni of Edmonds CC.

Carol Lewellen

Carol Lewellen is considered the godmother of residential energy conservation as she was the first energy auditor hired by Seattle City Light Conservation Program in 1978. She was hired by Snohomish County PUD in 1980 to help with tank wrapping, contractors list, and training of new auditors. Carol has worked at SCL, SNOPUD, Edmonds Community College, and NEEC. She teaches, trains, manages programs, writes, does photography, loves animals, and enjoys traveling.  Give her a task and she will get it done.  Her degree is in Communications (WSU ’73) EdCC ESL teaching (1995)
